Our Mission.

Bringing the Good News relevantly to young people in Surrey Heath and local areas through schools work and supporting local churches.

About us.

Detached Youth Work

No programme, just meeting young people and seeing how they are!

Christian Unions

We organise Christian Unions in schools in and around Camberley (Collingwood College, Kings International College, Tomlinscote and Gordon’s). They normally involve – Sweets – Games – a Talk – Prayer. click here to find out more.

Assemblies

We offer excellent, fun, interactive and thought provoking assemblies, all with a Christian element. From Easter, to Christmas, to just random dates in the year!

Lessons

We provide a variety of Religious studies lessons such as; Christianity vs science, creation, the 10 commandments, morality, and many more. We have even turned classrooms into prayer-spaces.

Pastoral Support

From Anger management courses, to mentoring services, and self esteem building, we offer a variety of pastoral support for young people. Most young people are referred from schools for this service.

Residentials

We organise a high energy, action packed, fun, and Christ centered Youth Weekend away. We also team with local Churches take a group to Soul Survivor festivals. Click the links if you want to find out more.

Prayer.

We believe that prayer is powerful! We recognise that for the work of CYFC to make a difference to our community, we need God's help.

This year we begin #Pray365 – A whole year of prayer where we, and the YFC family, commit to interceding before God for young people in Camberley and the surrounding areas each day, whilst growing the discipline of prayer and fasting. We are committed to lift the work of CYFC to God in prayer.

Testimonials.

“CYFC volunteers come into Gordon’s School each week and we visit the houses. They chat naturally with the students and their faces have become well known within the school. They show God’s love through the way they connect with the young people about youth culture and what it means to be a Christian. CYFC have also taken RS lessons and run Christian Unions.
I really enjoy working with them. For me they bridge the age gap and bring a fresh approach. They show that being a Christian is for young, fun people and is ‘cool’.”

Sarah Norbron Design & Technology teacher & Assistant Chaplain , Gordon's school

“The support and help CYFC staff provide to Kings International College is invaluable. I have always found the staff to be very amenable, professional and willing to listen and help our young people. They provide much support to our young people in the form of group work, one to one sessions, in classroom situations and also outreach work during lunch and brunch in our Cyber cafe. The CYFC team have built up good rapport with our students.”

Jude Bache CPLO and Student Welfare Officer

“Kings International College hosted Prayer Space for a week in 2017. This enabled students from all year groups to take part in a range of thought provoking activities. The calm, non-judgmental atmosphere gave students time to pause and reflect on issues such as dreams & self-worth. The response from both staff and students was overwhelmingly positive, with many students asking if we could run the activities again! As Head of Religious Studies I would recommend Prayer Space to other schools and colleges as an enriching educational experience.”
